Make UpAll Body Shop Products in CanadaBody ShopBody Shop Products are Haram A sister has provided this information: UESTION: Assalam o alaikum, I recently e mailed the bodyshop, inquring about the halal status, as many of their products say against animal cruelty. But i am confused as to what to interpret from their reply. Kindly enlighten. Jazak Allah Here is the reply i got on July 28th, 2014 Thank you for contacting The Body Shop online team. Please read below the reply we got from our relevant department: The Body Shop® products are not certified Halal. Many of the products are Halal though, by our understanding of the requirements. None of The Body Shop® products contain any ingredients derived from dead animals. The only animal ingredients that are used are honey, beeswax, shellac and milk, therefore we class the product range as being vegetarian friendly. Several The Body Shop® products contain ethanol, the intoxicating alcohol, which is on ingredient lists either as “ethanol” or “alcohol denat.”. If you have other questions or require further assistance, do not hesitate to contact us. Kind Regards Kristina Kuga Customer Support Representative - The Body Shop Customer Support | Americas weborder@thebodyshop.com - 08-11-14 11:16:53
